Rothiemurchus and the Cairngorms is renowned for its environmental beauty and indeed its high level of environmental protection. Within this area special birds, such as the Capercaillie and Golden Eagle, are found and the associated habitat is protected in the hope that these species remain and expand their range within and beyond.
